Bio.

Jean Roberta promised her parents that she wouldn't use their unusual family name when her first collection of lesbian stories, Secrets of the Invisible World, was published in 1988. Alas, the publisher went out of business soon afterward, but Jean responded to requests from readers who asked for f/f stories with more explicit sex.
Since 1999, over 60 of her erotic stories in various flavors (f/f, m/f, m/m, multiple-players) and genres have been published in print anthologies, websites and magazines.

Here is a list:

Obsession, Jean's collection of 14 erotic stories in various orientations and genres, all with a certain noir flavor, is currently available in e-form from Eternal Press (www.eternalpress.com.au). A print version is planned for summer 2008.

Jean's biker-syke story,“Wind, Rain and Fire,” in Hard Road, Easy Riding: Lesbian Biker Erotica, first published by the Haworth Press in December 2006, is due to be republished by Lethe Press in spring 2008.

Jean's story about the first lesbian Prime Minister of Canada on a state visit to England with her legal wife in 2013, “The Personal Is Political,” will appear in Coming Together with Pride from Phaze Publications in June 2008. The "Coming Together" anthologies from Phaze raise money for good causes. Contributors do not get paid. Proceeds from the "Pride" anthology will go to an AIDS-education organization.

Jean's playful BDSM story,  “My Indentured Servant” (about an unusual way to pay for the use of sound equipment), will appear in Lipstick on Her Collar from Pretty Things Press in April 2008.

"Something Natural," Jean's very first published erotic story (about a lesbian couple and a custom-made sex toy) was reprinted in Seriously Sexy 1 from Xcite Books, UK, in February 2008.

“Smoke” (Jean's story about a mortal woman and a female demon) is in Best Fantastic Erotica, published in January 2008 by the ground-breaking Circlet Press of Cambridge, Massachusetts. (They pioneered erotic fantasy fiction, with predominantly GLBT characters.)

Jean's local-color story, “A Visit from the Man in Red” (about two closeted lesbians in 1968 and a Christmas-season rescue by a closeted gay “brother” in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police) appeared in Naughty or Nice? Christmas Erotica Stories, from Cleis Press in December 2007.

“Alice and the Red Queen” (f/f story loosely based on characters in books by Lewis Carroll) was reprinted in Ultimate Sins from Xcite Books of England, 2008.

Jean's lesbian story about a dark and stormy day, “Hail Warning,” appeared in The Mammoth Book of Lesbian Erotica, from Carroll and Graf in US and Constable & Robinson in England, 2007.

“For All My Relations” (Jean's story about two Canadian prairie call girls) is in Iridescence: Sensuous Shades of Lesbian Erotica  from Alyson Books.  Editor Jolie du Pre and several other contributors belong to Sapphic Planet.

Jean's stories appeared in Best Lesbian Erotica in 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
Two of these stories ("Splitting the Infinitive" and "My Debut as a Slut") are told by Dr. Athena Chalkdust, an academic domme with a submissive streak.

“How I Got My Wings” (Jean's story about running away, running as a sport, shoe-shopping and lesbian initiation) appeared in The Sexiest Soles: Erotic Stories About Feet and Shoes from Alyson Books in 2006.

“Down Below” (a Dr. Athena Chalkdust story) appeared in Slave to Love: Sexy Tales of Erotic Restraint, from Cleis Press, 2006.

A true story about one of Jean's past relationships, “Gabrielle’s Fountain” is in First-Timers: True Stories of Lesbian Awakening from Alyson Books. Another true story, "Family Gathering," is in Up All Night: Adventures in Lesbian Sex from Alyson.

“Cindy’s Dowry” (all about lesbian back-door sex) is in Luscious, anthology on anal sex  from Cleis Press).

A story about two lesbians and a haunted house on the widswept Canadian prairie, “A Full Moon for Lammas,” appeared in Ultimate Lesbian Erotica 2006 from Alyson in 2005. (It appeared first on Jolie du Pre's own site.)

Also in 2005, Jean's story, “Hubris” (about a woman in ancient Greece who becomes an Amazon warrior), appeared in Stirring Up a Storm:  Tales of the Sensual, the Sexual and the Erotic, Featuring 35 of Today’s Top Women Storytellers from Thunder’s Mouth Press. Other contributors included Joyce Carol Oates and Margaret Atwood.

Several of Jean's lesbian stories appeared in two erotic anthologies in the Wicked Words series (#3 and #8) from Black Lace Publications in England.
